Allston/Cambridge
I lived right in the center of Allston this past summer, so my Boston tour starts in the Allston/Cambridge spots to visit :)!
Coffee Turco
Grab a coffee and a pastry to start your day! Take your morning Zoom meeting from a seat on one of the eclectic jewel-toned couches. Split an authentic Turkish breakfast for two. The “Turkish Serpme Breakfast” includes a feast of cheeses, labne, olives, sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, and sujuk (beef sausage), served with Turkish-style scrambled eggs, and an assortment of bread and pastries.
Lulu’s Allston
Tutuland Boston
I love crafting and spending time with friends, and Tutuland offers workshop time for you and a friend to create your own personalized rug, acrylic paint-pour art, decoden design, and more.
Harvard Art Museums
You could spend the entire day looking at the exhibits in the Harvard Art Museums. From ancient works from around the world to local art collective displays, I was taken away by the depth and width of the collections. My favorite exhibit when I visited was artist Arlene Shechet’s special exhibit Disrupt the View. From Harvard Art Museums, “In Disrupt the View, however, Shechet draws on her past collaborations with porcelain manufactory workers to speak to a larger history, recontextualizing these remarkable objects as both handmade and industrially manufactured, painterly and sculptural.”
